If only I had more hours in the day ....

Oh dear .... I have been VERY slack with my blog posts lately so I thought I better jump online while I have a sec and give you an update at what has been gong on at the eViE & hEnRy HQ's ...

Well as some of you may know already I have just stopped selling my dolls "made to order" as I have been in the past & my aim was to close shop for a few days to get all my stock up to date and then re-open ... well, this did not exactly go to plan and I have still not re-opened yet after a couple of weeks (apologies to anyone that is waiting to purchase dolls) ...

.... We have bub #2 due in about 4 weeks & I have been having awful sciatica & pelvic instabiltiy and not been able to sew ... but anyway I have just started to get back into sewing now & am hoping the get my shop re-opened with some new stock. I am slowly working through some limited edition dolls that I cant wait to introduce everyone to!!

Even though I have not gotten much sewing done I have not completely slacked off ... I have finally finshed the new baby's nursery (we have named him/her "Mini babe" for the time being) & I have finally finished Miss 20-month-olds new big girl room!!

This is "Mini Babe's" nursery ... I have loved being able to design a neutral room because with my first pregnancy we knew we were having a little girl! :)

And this is our little girls room ... the lay out of the room is a bit mucked up and as you can see the bed is in the wrong postion because a certain little Miss is very attached to her cot and I have had to try and fit that in as well some how.

But even though the lay out is not completely as I had pictured it I have pretty much finished it. I must say that I am pleased with the end result.

If anyone has any advice on how to get a nearly 21-month-old to start sleeping in a big girls bed I would really appreciate it!! Haha!! Here I was thinking that she wouldnt be able to resist sleeping in this gorgeous bed with the canopy & butterfly lights over it ... but I was very wrong indeed. I am hoping that we wont have to buy another cot before the new baby grows out of the bassinette anyway!!

Well ... now that you all know that I have'nt been completely slacking off I will sign off & get dinner ready so I can get some more sewing done ... and hopefully it wont be too long till the release of my limited edition dolls .... let's just say that there are some gorgeous "Amy Bulter" fabrics involved!!! :)

Rain rain go away ... or maybe not ... crafternoon time!!

Oh my goodness .... it is such a rainy rainy day!! It is so miserable that we can't even see out our windows (that also has something to do with the condensation from all the clothes I have hung around the house trying to get them dry)

I have been sick & now my partner is also home sick ... (our 19 month old hasn'nt picked it up yet ...) ... so to say that I have been getting a bit of cabin fever is probably a slight under statement ....

But on days like this there is only one thing to do ..... get creative!!!!

Today has been all about making mini's .... Mini oAtiE tHe oWl's that is!!!!

... they are just a bit cute!! I have made a few of them and have a plan of what to do with them (I will show you soon) ....

... lets just say that I am not minding this rain too much at all & always love a good crafternoon!!

And so it begins ....

I am not yet sure what this blog is going to be - but would love to share with you my inspirations & the world of - eVie & hEnRy ....
.... partly dreamed up by my own imagination, partly small fragments of my own life ...
....eVie & hEnRy is my creative outlet when I am not busy being my daughter Evie's mummy & running around doing what ever needs to be done ...
.... things are very hectic in our life at the moment with another babe on the way (11 weeks away to be precise) ... but we seem to like things this way ....

.... eVie & hEnRy (and their friends) are dolls & softies that are 100% handmade by me to be played with by little people for years to come - they are unique characters in every way - I hope that in some way they can show little people how important it is that everyone is indiviual and special and that they dont have to be the same as everyone else ...

.... so feel free join our journey along the way ... sometimes crazy & hectic but always creative and fun  .... & there is sure to never be a dull moment ....
